Five steps to make your writing balanced and clear.

1. Look for coordinating conjunctions (For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So).

2. Focus on the words, phrases and clauses that the conjunctions are linking.

3. Write the words in a list.

4. Look at the list. Are the words in the same form?

5. Change the form of the words, phrases or clauses so they are a consistent structure.
